ALERT – Please be advised that the Utah Driver License Division will never call asking for payment or private information.  All notifications are done through the mail.

Traffic Safety and Trends Exam – (Effective January 1, 2016)
With the passage of HB 147 during the 2015 legislative session all applicants applying for a first time original or provisional class D license will be required to pass an additional knowledge test prior to receiving their permanent license. The exam button can be found above under Featured Services, or click here.  It consists of questions covering driving safety topics and the top 5 major causes of traffic related deaths as identified by the Utah Highway Safety Office.

Effective Immediately  (August 12, 2015)
The Utah Driver License Division has been notified that the Utah temporary paper licenses and Identification Cards issued by the Division, will no longer be accepted at the Airport, however, if you have your expired driver license or ID card (expired less than one year) along with the temporary license/ID card this will be acceptable, in the case you do not have your previous license or ID card other forms of Identification may be accepted.  Additional Identification will need to include your name and date of birth, photo preferred but not required.
