Driving Privilege Card (DPC) Information

    What is it?

    • A license for driving regular motor vehicles (not commercial vehicles or motorcycles).
    • It cannot be used as ID for Utah government purposes.

    Who gets them?

    • People legally paroled in the U.S. (not eligible for a REAL ID).
    • People who cannot prove legal presence.
    • People who cannot get a U.S. Social Security number and use an ITIN instead.
    • Note: DPC holders cannot get a commercial driver’s license or regular ID card.

    Eligibility

    • Must be a Utah resident.
    • Must not have driving privileges suspended, revoked, or denied in another state.

    • If you have health issues affecting your driving, you must avoid driving and report the issue to the Driver License Division if it continues.
