Fingerprint Vendors


Effective May 3, 2023, the Department of Public Safety, Driver License Division will be approving private fingerprint vendors to process digital fingerprints for the Driving Privilege Card (DPC) applicants.

If you are interested in applying to become an approved vendor, please email your interest to dlfingerprints@utah.gov. Information will be sent to you, including a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU.)

S.B. 132 Driving Privilege Card Fingerprinting was passed in the 2023 general session.

Here are a few of the requirements to become an approved vendor:

  • Requires the use of digital fingerprint technology that will be submitted directly to the Bureau of Criminal Identification’s database.
  • Agrees to verify the identity of the individual by visually inspecting a government-issued photo identification as described in 53-3-205.5(1)(c)(iv).
  • Agrees to certify on the fingerprint confirmation form that the individual fingerprinted and the individual photographed are the same person.
  • Agrees to place the photograph and fingerprint confirmation form inside an approved envelope and seal the envelope.
