CDL Third-Party Tester Process

If you are interested in applying to be a part of the CDL third-party tester program, complete these steps:

• Step 1: Read administrative rule R708-21.
• Step 2: Submit the Application Packet in person or by mail to the Driver License Division.  It may take 60 days to review the application packet for accuracy and provide any feedback for changes if necessary.
• Step 3: Attend a certification course.  SLCC maintains the waiting list and charges its own fee for the certification course.  To inquire about the course, you can contact SLCC during regular business hours at 801.957.2266 or 801.957.2265.
