Data Privacy

The Utah Driver License Division uses your personal data and images to provide services in its operation as a governmental entity, including maintaining or servicing accounts and verifying customer information. 

Information and images captured by the Utah Driver License Division may be used in the interest of public safety, preventing fraud, and for purposes described in UCA 53-3-109 and UCA 77-23e-103.  The Utah Driver License Division may also disclose your personal data to the University of Utah for the Utah Population Database (UPDB). 

The Utah Driver License Division will be unable to provide services should you choose not to provide your personal data or images.

The Utah Driver License Division does not sell your personal data.  For more information about how your personal data is used by The University of Utah for data collection in relation to genetic and epidemiologic research, how it is secured, how long the information is retained, or to opt out of disclosing your personal identifying information, visit: https://uofuhealth.utah.edu/updbinfo.
