Renewal Period
You can renew your Utah DPC up to six months prior to its expiration date.
Renew Online
DPC license holders are not eligible to renew online.
Written Knowledge Test
May be required to pass a 25-question open-book test in English.
STEPS
Gather Your Documents For Your DPC Renewal:
Submit Application and Schedule Appointment:
- You will need to schedule an appointment to visit a Driver License office to complete the process of renewing your DPC.
Apply for DPC RenewalArrive For Your Appointment:
- Have your appointment confirmation number ready to check in at the front desk.
- Take a photo.
- Take a number.
- Present documents to the examiner.
- Complete the eye test.
- Pay the non-refundable fee of $23.00.
- If required because of suspensions, expired more than six months, or more than one citation, you will take the written knowledge test.
When Do I Get My DPC?
- A temporary no-privilege document that is a receipt only will be given the same day.
- The completed DPC will be mailed to you in approximately 4-6 weeks and will expire on the birth date in the first year from the date the card was renewed.
