Regular License, Limited-Term, Driving Privilege Card (DPC), Identification Card
If you have a change of address, you are required by law to notify the Driver License Division of the new address within TEN DAYS days of moving.  The easiest and fastest way to change your address on your driving record is online.  If you would like your new address printed on your license/ID, you will need to schedule an appointment to come in for a replacement.  Before your appointment, change your address online to avoid having to bring in two (2) documents providing proof of your new Utah address.

  • If your current Utah license expires within the next six (6) months, you will renew.
  • If your current Utah license does not expire within the next six (6) months, you will apply for a replacement.
  • If you need to renew or replace a Utah identification card, click here.

Commercial Driver License (CDL)
Federal regulations require CDL holders to change their address within 30 days of moving and to obtain a new license with the new address.  **Updating the address change online is not an option.  Be prepared to bring two (2) documents providing proof of your new Utah address when coming into the Driver License Division.

  • If your current Utah CDL expires within the next six (6) months, you will renew.
  • If your current Utah CDL does not expire within the next six (6) months, you will apply for a replacement.
