Foreign Driver License Reciprocity
Effective May 3, 2023, the Department of Public Safety, Driver License Division will be allowed to negotiate and enter into a driver license reciprocity agreement with a foreign jurisdiction.
If you are a foreign jurisdiction and interested in a reciprocity agreement, please email the request to dpsdlreciprocity@utah.gov.
This request will need to include the following:
- A formal request of interest regarding license reciprocity with the Utah Driver License Division;
- The letter must be signed by an authorized agent; and
- Contain the contact information for the authorized agent.
Upon receipt of the request for reciprocity, the Utah Driver License Division will send an acknowledgment letter to the requesting party. The response will include contact information for the official authorized to make and enter into a reciprocity agreement and a request for the foreign jurisdiction’s program information for review by the Utah Driver License Division.
